Environmental Incident Notification Procedure

During the holiday period, a number of unusual incidents occurred within the TU/e Campus. CVM is obliged to include this in the incident register or to report it to the competent authority. To this end, the environmental service has drawn up an incident reporting procedure that CVM must adhere to. As a result, it is important that all reports are received correctly by CVM so that CVM can then determine whether or not there is an incident with significant environmental consequences. This is explicitly a task of CVM according to the procedures.

Incidents or unusual occurrences with or without potential environmental damage must be reported to CVM within 24 hours. The urgency of this is high and enforcement by the competent authority is on top of this. All this in order to be able to manage and guarantee the safety and health of the users of the entire TU/e campus.

CVM in brief

For all organizations located on the TU/e Campus, one Environmental License has been granted by the Municipality of Eindhoven. CVM is the licensee and manages this license. By granting partial licenses to residents of the TU/e Campus, the responsibilities from the environmental license are transferred to the organizations located on the TU/e Campus. CVM conducts periodic audits to ensure that the various organizations comply with their partial permits.
